PP in Europe

Positive psychology is represented in many institutions and at many universities. Below you will find an updated list of positive psychology organisations in Europe. If your organisation is missing please let us know. 

Czech Republic:
The Czech Positive Psychology Centre, CPPC, (www.pozitivni-psychologie.cz) was established in 2008 in reaction to the ENPP demand for promoting positive psychology in Europe. The activities provided by the CPPC (seminars, workshops, lectures, research, international cooperation) are open to all students and professionals interested in positive psychology.

France: 
There is also an association for positive psychology in France: L'Association Francaise et Francophone de Psychologie Positive (APP). Read more about APP here.

Greece:
The Hellenic Association of Positive Psychology has a new website where you can find all relevant information about its purpose, goals and activities ( www.positiveemotions.gr /  www.positivepsychology.gr / www.positive-psychology.gr - all addresses leading to the same website). The site is in English and Greek.

Hungary:
Since May 2011 positive psychology has been represented in a new section in the Hungarian Psychological Association. (Chair: Máté Szondy, Secretary: Tamás Martos).

Scotland:
The Centre for Confidence and Well-being led by Dr. Carol Craig focuses on how positive psychology can contribute to solving social problems in society. Read more about the centre here.


Spain:
SEPP - The Spanish Society for Positive Psychology - was established in June 2009 and is arranging the First National Congress on Positive Psychology in Spain in March 2021. Read more about SEPP here.


United Kingdom:
The Centre for Applied Positive Psychology CAPP is one of the leading research centres in Europe led by Professor Alex Linley. Read more about CAPP here.
